Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan has hit out at critics of his band and rejected claims that the Leicester rockers have "gone tame".
The band, who released their fourth studio album 'Velociraptor!' on September 19, are currently preparing for their UK tour, which will see them play playing 13 arena shows across the country in November and December.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Meighan said that he doesn't believe his band "get the credit we deserve" and said that he couldn't understand why any fans of his band wouldn't like the tracks on 'Velociraptor!'.
He said: "Sometimes we don't get the credit we deserve. Some of the songs on the new record are beautifully crafted pop songs – 'Man Of Simple Pleasures' is heartbreaking. Some Kasabian fans say we've got a bit tame, but we can't do 'Club Foot' forever."
The singer also said that the band had given up on the idea that they would ever score big hit singles and have chosen to focus on albums instead.
He added:
We are an albums band now. We are believers in albums, it means we don't get the big hit singles anymore.Check out the classic "Fire" vid below:
