Guns N' Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beastie Boys chosen for Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame
Guns N' Roses, The Faces/The Small Faces, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Beastie Boys have been chosen as the next acts to be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
The bands were chosen ahead of Joan Jett And The Blackhearts, The Spinners, Donovan and The Cure to be added to the roll of honour. They will be officially inducted at a ceremony in Cleveland, Ohio, on April 14, 2012.
The decision to induct Guns N' Roses will raise questions about whether the band's original line-up will reunite to perform at the ceremony. Both Axl Rose and Slash have both separately said that they would not rule out some kind of reunion for the ceremony, but neither has offered any kind of confirmation either.
The Faces are almost certain to be joined by former singer Rod Stewart for their performance at the ceremony, while the Red Hot Chili Peppers may be joined by former guitarist John Frusciante for their performance.
Previous inductees to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame include Elvis Presley, Aretha Franklin, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Tom Waits and Neil Diamond.
Wow... ! Now that all these groups are getting nominated...makes me feel old! Enjoy!
