Coldplay's Chris Martin has denied that he regrets calling the band's recent album 'Mylo Xyloto'.

Last weekend (March 3), the frontman told US TV show Good Morning America that it had been a mistake to choose a title that people were unable to pronounce properly, stating: "It's just something that we thought looked really good but everywhere we go around the world people pronounce it in the most crazy ways and we're beginning to regret it now."

However, the singer has now taken to Twitter to insist that he still liked the album's name and his comment, which was supposed to be a joke, had been blown out of proportion.

He wrote:
No regrets at all about Mylo Xyloto as album title. We love it. Only regret attempting JOKE on early morning TV. CM

Martin recently downplayed the band's success at the Brit Awards, claiming they only won Best British Group because there were no other bands to chose from.

"To be honest, most British bands have split up," he said. "Blur have gone, Pulp have gone, Take That are on holiday, we're the only British band left on the pitch! But we'll take that."

They beat Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian and Elbow to the gong. Meanwhile, Coldplay will kick off their first North American tour in nearly three years on April 17.

'Mylo Xyloto' is Coldplay's fifth studio album and was released in October last year. You can watch a video featuring the band's 10 best songs by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking.
