Coldplay premiered their new track 'Major Minus' online yesterday (June 23), scroll down to the bottom of the page and click to hear it, and go to NME.com/blogs to read NME's review of the song. The track, which was posted online last night, is the second song to be taken from the band’s new EP ‘Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall’ which will be released digitally on June 26 – the day after they headline the Pyramid Stage at this year’s Glastonbury festival.
The band have not yet revealed whether 'Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall' or 'Major Minus' will appear on their forthcoming fifth studio album, which they have been working on with producer Brian Eno for the last 18 months. However, they did play both songs along with other new material during their headlining slot at German festival Rock Am Ring earlier this month (June 4).
