Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl and Pat Smear joined Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder onstage in Seattle for an impromptu collaboration earlier this week (April 27).

The trio appeared during the encore at
Mike Watt & The Missingmen's gig at the city's Triple Door venue - scroll down and click below for fan footage of the hook up.

During a ten-minute session, the grunge veterans performed a version of
Watt's 1995 track 'Big Train', with Grohl playing drums, Smear on guitar and Vedder adding guitar and vocals.
Watt is known for co-founding US punks Minutemen, dos, and fIREHOSE. He has also been the bassist in the reunited Stooges in recent years.

Smear rejoined the Foo Fighters on a live basis in 2006 and contributed to their latest album 'Wasting Light'. He had earlier played guitar on the band's 1997 album [b]'The Colour And The Shape'.

The Germs founder also performed live with Grohl during the later days of Nirvana in the early 1990s.
